Flaws reported in child shelters / Stays often surpass 2-month limit; studies, social life suffer
More than 2,100 children who stayed in temporary protection shelters in fiscal 2009 were there for more than two months, even though the Child Welfare Law says that in principle the protection period should be no longer than two months, a survey by The Yomiuri Shimbun found.
