The bureau often gets it all wrong and families suffer
I have worked with Welfare Warriors MaGoD (Mothers and Grandmothers of Disappeared Children) Project for 18 years, and in that time we have witnessed many cases in which children have been removed from safe homes on false allegations of abuse or neglect. And too often those children are placed in dangerous or insecure foster care.
This is a side not portrayed in a recent Milwaukee Journal Sentinel series dealing with child welfare. The series helped perpetuate a bias of parents in the system as drug addicted abusers. It's just not that simple.
