Ed Balls's new pamphlet is an insult to fathers
After I found out I was going to be a father, I didn’t know what to do. Tragically, there was no one from the Government to direct me to the nearest ante-natal class, or advise me to attend the birth of my first child, or to just spend time with my own offspring, so I just sat there vegetating in the corner like Syd Barrett, unable to pick up the phone or turn on the computer to look for help or advice. That’s because I’m a British citizen and therefore have an IQ at sub-moronic levels, at least in the eyes of the state.
