Court orders man to donate sperm to estranged wife, who says no time for 2nd marriage

A family court in Maharashtra has granted a woman’s plea to have a second child with her estranged husband by directing him to donate his sperm for IVF, which could kick-start a debate over the gender question in reproductive rights.

The order of the Nanded court came two years after the husband sought divorce from the woman on the grounds of cruelty, while the wife has filed a complaint against him under Section 498A (cruelty by a husband or his relatives) of the IPC.

DNA testing means forced fatherhood as states limit abortion

Several US states have recently passed bills to restrict abortion rights that essentially turn the clock back to the era before the landmark Supreme Court decision, making abortion illegal in nearly every circumstance. Ultimately, women may find themselves in a pre-Roe v. Wade America, where they must risk their life with an illegal abortion, or have a baby they don’t want and face a lifetime of poverty as a result.

POLK COUNTY JURY RULES IN FAVOR OF FATHER AFTER MOM DEFIES COURT ORDER TO RETURN CHILDREN TO TEXAS

On May 7, 2019, the Polk County District Attorney’s Office prosecuted Elizabeth Annette Davis for the felony offense of Interference with Child Custody.  Davis was found guilty by a Polk County jury.

She was sentenced to serve six months confinement at a state jail facility of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.  Assistant Criminal District Attorney Kirby A. Wills secured the conviction for the State of Texas by focusing the jury’s attention on Davis’s actions.

Former First Lady Michelle Obama Insulted Divorced Dads

Former First Lady Michelle Obama managed to impugn a sizeable population of fathers this week when she compared Trump’s presidency to living with a divorced dad. Speaking at an event in London, Obama suggested that America was a troubled teen: “We come from a broken family, we are a little unsettled,” she offered before rolling out a tired and easy parenting stereotype. “Sometimes you spend the weekend with divorced dad. That feels like fun but then you get sick,” Obama continued. “That is what America is going through. We are living with divorced dad.”

Delaware mom, 45, 'shot-dead her 18-month-old baby then turned the gun on herself' just hours before she was set to appear in family court and surrender the child to his father

A woman and her one-year-old son were found dead in their Delaware apartment in a suspected murder-suicide just hours before she was due to surrender her child to his father.

Laura B. Connell, 45, was found dead in her apartment alongside her son, Walton Connell, on Wednesday morning having both suffered fatal gunshot wounds.

Group that reconnects SC fathers to their children seeking $1.6M

Facing a third, one-year stint in jail for missing child support payments, Frederick Hogsett Jr. received a lifeline from the judge instead.

Rather than going back to jail — or getting a second sentence to wear an ankle bracelet monitor — Hogsett was ordered to participate in a program that works to get fathers involved in their children’s lives through job training, free legal help, counseling, parental classes, and even mediation with the mom if needed.

The same little girl is on the telephone four years later – desperate, terrified, traumatized, begging for help. The little girl is Sophia Grace Hope Merrill, Barry White’s daughter. When Sophia fell into San Mateo County’s child welfare system, Barry thought that maybe everything would be OK because she was placed under the care and supervision of his sister, Ka’misha Crittendon.

A traumatised woman who was raped by a member of a grooming gang and became pregnant with his child was left 'extremely distressed' after social workers tried to help him get in contact with her son.

In the 'perverse' decision by the unnamed local authority, staff approached a jailed sex attacker and offered him help to be involved in his son's upbringing, without notifying his mother.

The Terrifying Rise of the Father's Rights Groups

Early in December 2017 the Texas Attorney General’s Office held a private meeting with a group from the Texas Father’s Rights Movement (“FRM”) at the Capital B Room E1 012 from 9 am- 12pm. The meeting was called to discuss "how destructive the collection process child support is" and that it is damaging men and their "new families". To conceal the event from public view the OAG requested that the FRM group remove an outreach video that it had posted on the internet as an invitation to the enthusiastic fathers of their base, who wish for and are in search of legal methods to prematurely end and decrease support to their minor children. They needed the meeting be an invitation-only affair. The press was not to be invited. The public was not to be invited. It was made clear that this was NOT to be an open meeting.

KS Supreme Court affirms father's rights

The Kansas Supreme Court has affirmed the right's of a natural father in a case where the mother immediately put the newborn up for adoption without informing the father.

The mother, who said she did not know she was pregnant until the day she gave birth, immediately put the newborn up for adoption through Kansas Children's Service League. A KCSL social work supervisor contacted the person who the mother thought was the child's father to inform him of the pregnancy and birth. "This news shocked him," the court's decision noted.
