Woman Kidnaps Her Own Children?

Michigan couple Scott and Amy Kehoe were devastated after several miscarriages and failed in virto fertilization made it seem as though they would never be able to have children. However, rather than give up or adopt one of the many, many infants and young children in need of loving homes, the Kehoes instead turned to a surrogate. This would turn out to be a huge mistake.

The Kehoes purchased both eggs and sperm after reaching an agreement with Shelly Baker, who has four children of her own and had been a surrogate in the past as well. Baker carried twins for the couple - a boy and a girl - and everything proceeded as planned until the day all three headed to court to turn custody of the twins over to Scott and Amy Kehoe.
