Uncle Sam's Children: Should Foster Children Stay With Their Birth Families?
An article (http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2007-07-02-foster-study_N.htm) in USA Today about whether or not children should stay in their homes or be put into foster care really peaked my interest. Obviously there are many different reasons why children should be taken from homes immediately, including child sexual abuse, intentional starvation, and intentional acts of inhumanely cruel abuse, among others. However, the article showed that it is likely that not all children benefit from being taken away from their birth families.
If Coram have their way, prospective adopters will have their child from birth
ReplyDeleteThe adoption agency is working with Local Authority's in the London area, to persuade adopters to come forward in the early day of Care Proceedings to foster babies within hours of birth, and placement can even be planned before a child is born, they want to carry this out on a National basis.
I posted this same blog on the Daily Mail Forced Adoption Forum, and had a warning, and they deleted my comment, and said it was abusive.
It seems like the UK Press are also covering up the system of the child stealing debacle
