My fiance has two daughters, Olivia now 17, and Shelby now 15.
They were taken by CFS over a year ago. They told the police that their dad beat them and choked them, which never happened. They were angry at him for grounding them and taking away their internet privileges, so they ran away and called the police. Apparently, this is happening a lot with teenagers, there are even websites teaching them how to do this to parents. Anyway, I don't think they wanted all of this this to happen, I think they were just angry teenagers trying to get back at their dad.
First, the police came to the house, and told us that there were no marks on the kids and they (police) believed they were lying, but told us that CFS, as routine, would come an see us.
CFS came to the house and began interrogating me about my fiance's abuse to his kids. I told them there never was any. They they began telling me that they KNEW that he was abuse to me. I told them they were misinformed that he has never been abusive to anyone.
He went to court about 6 times, but never got to see the judge, nor washe allowed to see his kids. He still hasn't seen them. The court has no evidence of any abuse, but the judge told his lawyer that if he has been called to this court--he's guilty! Can you imagine that???
He did nothing. His life has been turned to a nightmare. After 10 years of sobriety--he's started drinking again. He's seeing a therapist himself to try to deal with his anger and feelings of betrayal.
Yesterday, we got a notice frm CFS that he has to appear in court on 7/7/09 because he is going to have to pay $2600. per month is child support. He began talking about suicide because he's so humiliated by all of this.
Needless to say, he's a mess over something he never even did.
CFS should not allowed to do this to innocent parents.

I am really curious to learn if this poster knows of any actual websites advising teens to call CPS to get out of parental rules and authority. I have been researching this subject for the past year and have been compiling cases of teens who falsely accuse a parent of abuse/neglect.
ReplyDeleteActuial websites would greatly help me in my legal research regarding same.
As to the poster's circumstances....
please try to ontain competent legal counsel immediately.
It truely is not that uncommon for teens to falsely accuse.
