Supreme Court backs raises for family court judges
The West Virginia Supreme Court has endorsed legislation that would significantly raise the salaries of the state's 45 family court judges.
In a rarity for the court, Chief Justice Brent Benjamin submitted a letter to lawmakers supporting bills introduced in the House and Senate that would raise family court judges' pay from $82,500 to $111,000 on July 1.
Note: Is this how they should be spending the government bailout money?
That's a $28,500 dollar a year raise before taxes people! That breaks down to an extra $548 dollars a week plus benefits for tearing your families apart and sticking you with massive child support orders! I'm sure that kind of money would take a lot of the personal guilt away from destroying families.
Is this how the states help those facing foreclosure, homelessness, hunger, unemployment or whatever else they can peg on a parent for a neglect charge? A lot of people in this country have to live on less than what they're getting for a raise!
And since when is $82,500 a year not enough to live a comfortable life on?
You people down in West Virginia need to wake the fuck up and do something about this!
