Kansas foster care providers want end to state inspections, saying they're not needed

Private agencies providing foster care and other youth services want to exempt themselves from state inspections.

    This is a bad move. Legislators surely know by now not to be fooled by those money sucking foster care contractors...they are only trying to avoid being accountable. Not OK for the most at risk population in our state.

    These children MAY not have been safe at home...they will most CERTAINLY will NOT be safe in care. KDHE is one of the FEW entities that provides a reasonable attempt to provide safety for these poor kids! KDHE must coninue to provide inspections.
