Why subject foster children to the humiliation of wearing used clothing that is faded and out of style? Wearing handmedowns to school will make them stick out like a sore thumb. That's rather like the Nazis forcing Jews to wear stars.
The cost of buying clothes from a used clothing store is sometimes equal to the cost of buying new clothes from Wal-Mart. A smart shopper knows how to stretch money by purhasing items from clearance racks.
