Legally Kidnapped

Shattering Your Child Welfare Delusions Since 2007

An idiot interviews a couple of Dumbass CASA Puppets.

I swear to God, I'm not making this shit up.

I just found a pre-child abuse awareness month CASA Puppet recruitment article written by a dumbass who has got to be smoking crack.

Here's the link.

Economy Could Be Causing Spike In Child Abuse

And I am going to pick a few specific passages from this article which takes a highly charged emotional approach in absence of fact or truth, at getting a point across to a target audience who is even dumber than the articles author.

"In economic times, it may lead to a situation where there isn't a whole lot of food. So they have to choose between playing the mortgage and buying enough food, so that these lead to neglect situations," said Ed Kilcullen, who runs the Maryland CASA program, which stands for Court Appointed Special Advocates

Now that right there is bullshit! Because that describes a very large group of good people who are just having a hard time making ends meet in a struggling economy. Yet mister brilliant here claims flat out that if you hare having a hard time making the bills, you're probably neglecting your kid as well. ie Poverty = Neglect. Now I don't know if this Ed Kilcullen from Maryland's CASA Puppet brigade really buys into that which he preaches or if he is just trying to sell you a line of crap, but either way he should shut the fuck up. Not to mention, the cheaper alternative would be to give the family some food stamps, but these idiots suggest the foster care approach.

He continues...

And that can cause a parent to snap.

And so can't people like you, I suppose.

"If people are feeling stressed than they are not necessarily as patient as they are when they're not stressed," Kilcullen said.

Ah... Duh! Perhaps you should write the Idiots Guide to Parental Psychology, Mr. Kilcullen.

Further down he says...

April is child abuse awareness month, and Kilcullen says CASA will spend the month teaching more people the signs of abuse.

Now that's scary. Especially with idiots like that at the wheel...

"You are taking a child who is very wounded by the people they trust most in their life and you're being the eyes and ears for the judge," said Pat Howe, a Maryland CASA volunteer.

Interesting, an emotional hit in absence of fact or truth. Now i would have explained it like this, "You are taking a child from the people they trust most in their life and wounding them even more while lying to the judge by presenting that which a babystealer tells you too.

And a CASA puppets are more full of shit than anybody, because any of them will tell you all kinds of great things about themselves, like "they are the one person who stays with the child through the whole process," or "if the child went home and the parents actually got a fair shake, it was probably because they had a CASA," or something like that. But I will argue that that is not true. In fact, many of these so called CASA Volunteers are nothing but stooges for the agencies who suck up to social workers like they are the almighty gods and goddesses that the Child Protective Industry would have you believe.

So what good are they? Well for the parents none. For the child? Who knows? For the workers? Well... they add a sense of legitimacy and a claim of honesty based on a good cause. And nobody can argue that protecting children from abuse or neglect is not a noble cause, because it certainly is. They just don't do that.

Howe has some success stories to tell, and she believes one way to combat the rising number of abuse cases is to get more people involved.

"Hopefully there may be people out there that are finding themselves with a little more time that can get involved," Howe said. "Rather than spinning their wheels, what can I do? Actually jump in and get involved to do something good."

Translation: "Buy into a line of bullshit and become a CASA Puppet."

And here is the best line of the whole article copied and pasted exactly as it is posted.

CASA says what it needs the most is more volunteers. Right now, it has about 100,000 volunteers for a little more than 10,000 abused children across the state.

Ok now according to the math, that's approximately 10 CASA Puppets for every child in the system. One has to wonder, how many do they need? Perhaps if they got two more for each kid, they could sit around and debate the issue like a Jury?

Of course that is a misprint. But hey. After reading the rest of the article, what do you expect?

That's at least worthy of some Green Day, is it not?

    Re: CASA article

Take a look at the history of the 18the Amendment.

Prohibition was passed as a largely female and Progressive mission, but was repealed after only around 13 years.

When will the US disempower CPS?

Ans: It's all about the J-O-B-S.

    Prohibition video:

www.booktv. org Search under videos. Fascinating piece of history which kinda parallels the development and expansion of CPS from 1974 onward.
