Child welfare 'not for business'
THE NSW Government should resist the temptation to shift its responsibility for child welfare to the profit-making private sector, according to welfare experts.
Private companies are keen to enter the child welfare industry because hundreds of millions of dollars are available in the form of government grants from welfare departments desperate to rid themselves of a seemingly never-ending problem.
