DCYF scrambles to find more foster parents
The state Department of Children, Youth and Families is urging representatives from the state’s dozen or so private child-placement agencies to meet Monday at 9 a.m. to discuss the “urgent need” to find more foster parents who can provide emergency housing once the state closes its three children’s shelters on Jan. 15.
