Alexander Applauds Senate Passage of Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Reauthorization Act

U.S. Senator Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) issued the following statement regarding Senate passage on Friday, December 10, of the Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Reauthorization Act (S. 3817), legislation cosponsored by Alexander that reauthorizes the Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act, the Family Violence Services Prevention Act, and the Adoption Opportunities Act:

Note: See people? Don't bother with the government. They're not going to solve your problems. They are just going to create more. If you want their help then you need to pay them off. Just like the system sucks do.

You really need to understand that Legislators, Senators, Congressmen, City Council Members, whatever will not only support the largest and the loudest of groups, but will be attacked by the anti-abuse people if they don't vote their way on every issue. The chances of a government official getting re-elected if they take a stance towards family rights is slim, because the sheep are so easily misled by the hysterical preachings of the child protective industry and their continuous use of the horrifying scenario. Child Abuse is an emotional hot button that sets off the sheep because of what they saw on television, but never forget that only the worst of the worst will ever be shown. Therefore, according to the understanding of the sheep, anything can be misconstrued as child abuse, and it will always end in some horrific catastrophe.

You want to fix this mess, then you all need to organize. Then you need to get up off of your butts and start protesting. Start making phone call after phone call to government officials and employees. Write letters. Start using the names of your workers to every person that you talk to. Join a group. Just do something instead of sitting around and whining and taking it like a bitch.
