Divorced Soldier Takes A Stand And Changes A Law
One Siouxland soldier and his mom took a stand and helped create a state law that will keep deployed military parents who are divorced from suffering child custody battles and allow the kids to spend time with all of their loved ones.
Adam Norgaard had joint custody of his two kids. But when he got deployed to Afghanistan last July, his mom wasn't allowed to have the kids on what would have been Adam's custody days because the old law didn't allow it.
