Foster Care Review Board
The Foster Care Review Board requires citizen oversight for children who are living in out of home care, in foster care. Each child’s case is reviewed at least every six months, assessing necessity and appropriateness of placement, adequate services to support the child and family, medical, dental, emotional, educational/developmental needs, and progress towards permanency. Volunteers are the independent set of eyes reviewing each child’s case and providing unbiased recommendations to the Judge. Child’s safety and what is in the child’s best interest are paramount.
