Tropicalia: Camp reunites separated foster siblings
Children in foster care would no doubt say that changes in scenery are not always happy events.
But when the new place is a campground in the woods - and the siblings they haven't seen since their placement in foster care are there as well -a new environment can be a very positive thing.
"One of the toughest, saddest things about my job is when siblings are removed from their home and family, and then not placed together in foster care," said Tammy Flusche, a supervisor with the Florida Department of Children and Families. "The reason varies from not enough foster homes to a relative only being able to care for one child. It is so sad to see siblings split up ..."
Note: It wouldn't bother them one bit to adopt them out to seperate families as long as they get their cut of the adoption bonus.
