We can't assess child protection if the state sits on the facts

Voters need to know how the system is tracking if they are to judge parties' policies.

YOUNG people leaving the state's care are over-represented in the criminal justice system and among the homeless, and they lag badly in the educational achievements that allow their peers in better circumstances to lead independent lives.
