There are horrible tragedies!! I am a Mother and also a CPS caseworker who is passionate about what I do. These news stories always make me cry and some things are horrid to face. But I also get tired of hearing what a horrible job that child welfare agencies do and how anything that goes wrong should be blamed on the agency. If we leave kids in their home and something happens, we're wrong, if we place kids in care and something happens, we're wrong. Where are the cameras showing the job that we do right? The sleepless days and nights, money from our own pockets to help some of these children, even though we scarcely make enough to care for our own children!! There are PLENTY of happy ending stories out there, yet no one wants to hear them.

  2. You people are way over-glorified by the media. You get National Child Abuse Prevention month for example. We get demonized. You fluff your numbers and blow the issue way out of proportion. We get screwed out of our kids.

I don't post the positive stories, because I choose not to pick on the good people, unless I find a lie.

Because there is so many bad workers and bad foster parents out there, I post whatever I find. None should be trusted. It's better to be safe than sorry you know.
