Ri Aclu Sues Family Court System
The Rhode Island American Civil Liberties Union is suing the state's Family Court as well as six school districts.
The ACLU is holding a news conference Monday to announce the suit.
The suit alleges that administrators of the program created by the chief judge have sometimes threatened to arrest students or have them placed in state custody for failing to attend school. The ACLU says that is in violation of their constitutional rights.
