Every family struggles in a tough economy, but the recession poses unique problems for people raising their grandchildren.

  1. Grandparent that are caring for their Grandchildren, under the clause of Kincare, often suffer from financial hardship, as they only get the basic Carers rate of £75 per week,foster Carers,within the Uk get up to £500 pound a week for each child.
    A Leicestershire Grandmother, recently won a judgment at the High Court in London, the Local Authority were forced to pay the Grandparents, the same amount of money, as a normal Carer.
    I urge all Grandparents that are suffering financial hardship, with regards to this clause, to seek legal advice.
