First Nations need to control child welfare
Prime Minister Stephen Harper is expected to stand in the House of Commons on June 11 and apologize for the residential school abuse perpetrated upon generations of aboriginal Canadians.
An apology is great, but it's not going to do much to change conditions for First Nations families who find themselves watching their children being taken away by non-native agencies.
