Family Reunification Is Visitation Canceled

My wife and I went to go visit our two girls that are in the hands of CPS. When the lies got to be too much to hear a voice recorder was shown to show the truth of what really is being said. I was asked to shut it off or we were not allowed to see our children. What does a recorder have to do with visitation? What is the big secret? What are they hiding? Transcripts are being made of what is said during visitation. Why aren't we allowed to record things for our records?
