Group asks state to mount effort to place older foster children

Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families says more than 200 children moved from foster care in Arkansas last year when they "aged out" of the system by turning 18, making the state no longer responsible for their care. Over the past five years, the system turned out more than 1,000 such children.
