Stressors and coping strategies in child protection services
The decisions child welfare officers make are complicated and are based partly on their own investigations, partly on cooperation with, and experience of, other local government officers. "My master's thesis shows that even the more experienced child welfare officers are uncertain about what decisions are the correct ones in individual cases," says Arve Lerum at the Nordic School of Public Health (NHV).
Note: I think that the personal guilt associated with the selling of ones soul to the child protective industry, the destruction of families and the fact that there are so many of us out there calling them on their bullshit these days all plays a part in their stress levels as well.
But who cares? They're only babystealers. Let them stress I say!!! In fact lets turn up the heat a bit. What do you say?
