Pamper Yourself For Child Abuse Day!
I just came across a rather interesting press release, where some wonderful people are going to donate their time and skills to a worthy cause and according to the headline, they need your help.
Here lies the problem. Check out the first paragraph of this short article.
See folks, what this really is, is a situation of somebody who fell for all the child abuse propaganda and trying to regurgitate it into a marketing strategy, as you can see from the rest of the article.

Advertising and for a cause like child abuse prevention, which the author of this press release obviously learned about from watching too much TV, but it's still good, not to mention they can use it all as a tax write off at the end of the year.
But what a marketing strategy. Think about it, they're liable to get a few new customers out of the deal. They got a free ad in a newspaper, hell they even made Legally Kidnapped! People who go somewhere and have a good experience tend to go back. All they have to do is give everybody who walks in that door a good experience then they're golden. And we all know what a socio-emotional hotspot the thought of child abuse is these days. If they can create perception that they are good people who care about CHILDREN, that's got to suck a few new paying bodies in.
So here's what I propose. I say we make this a national event, where all the spas and hair salon's and barber shops and massage parlors etc get together and donate all of their proceeds to the Child Protective Industry. We'll call it...
And then the System Sucks have a brand new way of giving and getting and "caring about the children" at the same time.

TORONTO (October 15, 2010) – Ontario Ombudsman André Marin now has the jurisdiction to investigate complaints about Huron-Perth Children’s Aid Society, following the provincial government’s appointment of a supervisor for the agency.
Children and Youth Services Minister Laurel Broten announced this week that she has appointed Mr. Vince Tedesco to manage the society on an interim basis in place of its board of directors. While normally the Ombudsman does not have jurisdiction over children’s aid societies in Ontario, that changes when the provincial government takes direct control, since the Ombudsman does have jurisdiction over the Ministry of Children and Youth Services.
Ontario is the only province in Canada whose Ombudsman does not have a mandate to oversee child protection services. Despite this, the Ombudsman’s office receives many serious complaints about these agencies every year that cannot be investigated. A total of 296 complaints about children’s aid societies were received in fiscal 2009-2010.

Often, as temporary placements shift and these youngsters are jostled from placement to placement, the instability that permeates their life also seeps into their school experience.
But a novel collaboration between the Baltimore City Department of Social Services (BCDSS) and Baltimore City Public Schools (BCPS) holds the promise of offering something to Baltimore foster children that is in wide variance across this country: the chance at educational stability.

The government-funded study, released Monday at a youth-protection conference, found that neglect made up 34% of all youth-protection investigations that are found to have merit.

Note: Well... Duh! Haven't I been saying this for years? But nobody listens to me. Instead they go and do a survey of babystealers just to figure out what I've been saying all along! They stole my idea! Babystealing is not a normal human activity. In fact, there's nothing normal about it.
More than two-thirds of social workers experience mental or emotional instability as a result of their job, according to a British Association of Social Workers (BASW) poll.
Note: See! They're all screwed up in the heads! In which case the UK needs to take all of their kids away. Especially since these are the kinds of excuses that the British Babystealers use on real parents.

Some years ago, in a published article, I explained that: “Significantly, a child who has been identified as a potential ‘candidate’ for placement into foster care may trigger reimbursements to the agency for these administrative costs regardless of whether or not the child had actually entered foster care, and these reimbursements to the agency may continue so long as the child remains a potential candidate for entry. Once the determination is made that a child is no longer a ‘candidate’ for entry into care these reimbursements stop. Hence, there exists a clear financial incentive to agencies to maintain a case as open.”

“There are around 4,000 children in foster care, and for so many of them to carry their belongings in garbage is just not right—it’s not okay, and we shouldn’t accept it,” Robey said. “And so we’re trying to eliminate garbage bags as an acceptable form of luggage for children in foster care.”Perhaps they should eliminate the bouncing of children from home to home to home. I think we need to really push the Ombudsman and have him push the Ministry to recognize that the CAS issue is Ontario wide. I'm asking you to do this because you have a large following. Thanks
