If one Local Authority can drop 200 cases, and the reason given was so that the LA involved could protect vulnerable childen, what does the former factor reveal? Should those proceedings have been instigated at all? at a huge waste of the taxpayers money, and could any of those children fall through the net and become another statistic of Social Services failings regarding child deaths. With regards to Ofsted, some LAs in the past have given misleading data, to gratify their star status, or league tables, when in fact they were failing abysmally.
