The vetting scheme for nine million people working with children and vulnerable adults in England, Wales and Northern Ireland has been halted.
Home Secretary Theresa May has announced that registration, due to begin next month, has been put on hold.
Note: This is what happens when Political Correctness goes over the line and becomes Chronic Anal-Retentive Disorder and mass paranoid hysteria, and then later settles back down after a backlash of pissed off parents and professionals starts throwing just a hint of common sense and logic into the mix. Then after thinking about it for a minute, these dip-shits come to realize just how impulsive, unrealistic and and invasive they are being. Yet these are the people who society trusts to protect our children, and the die hard System Sucks will surely condemn this decision by accusing the government of not taking child protection seriously in such a dangerous world of bloody horrible parents! Then again, most of them are nothing but a bunch of drama queens anyway.
So just keep living in your delusional little nanny-state fantasy there people.
There had been complaints that requiring the registration of so many people was excessive and created an atmosphere of suspicion.
These schemes just give a feeling of mistrust and suspicion, without actually preventing anything
So what are you gonna do? Save the world from everybody in it?
