The first thing we have to remember is that our children DO NEED protection sometimes from out of family. There are many times when the parents are the farthest thing from safety, imaginable.

The best thing we can do is work to inform each other of our rights. Most CPS agents aren't wicked and out to get us- they are just brainwashed and caught up in a broken system. They get up in the morning, drive to work, come home at night and have lives too. What we need to fight is the policies that leave huge loopholes for abuse of the system from power hungry and obsessive compulsive workers. Standards are so vague that anything goes, and this is our livelyhood! Our children... our families.

We need to gather together and fight the abuse with new laws and regulations that hold CPS accountable and narrow down the reasons they can take our children with specific reasons that, without a reason of doubt, shows abuse. We need to change the laws that leave parent's records tainted after being wrongfully reported and cleared.

In my case, I am a mother of 6 now, with a neighbor with mental issues who let her own demons spill out into my life. This is a young married woman who had professed to me she couldnt handle having kids because she suffered from OCD, FIbromayalgia, and Anxiety Disorder taking multiple amounts of medicines in order to function. She called CPS on us claiming our house was a bio-hazard and that we left our children unattended multiple times which was a farse.

CPS showed up with 2 agents and an Officer over these allegations, and I was naive with innocence thinking I had nothing to hide, let them come in, you HAVE to let in CPS.... right?

Friends, CPS is not out to exonerate you. DO NOT LET THEM INTO YOUR HOME until you have yourself legally armoured and know your rights. They do not have to come in unless they have a warrant or your house is on fire.

I went through 6 months of mental hell with CPS and their mind games. Im sure every visit produced money signs in their eyes of reimbursement to place them all in foster care. All they could reproduce as far as reason to remove them from the home was INSIGNIFICANT REASONS. Laundry on the laundryroom floor, trash bags in the kid's rooms, dishes in the sink, a hermit crab terrarium in the kitchen. There was nothing founded that could be anything close to harmful but it's left up to the opinion of CPS the minute they step foot in your home, and they can take your kids for just about any reason.

I was sick with anxiety for months after their initial visit thinking they were going to show up at the hospital and take my baby away from me in my postpartum room. Ive never been arrested, never had a domestic dispute issue, dont do drugs, we arent on welfare and my husband works.

Arm yourselves with knowledge, people- and protect your families. The government believes they know better than we do about raising our children.
