Inexperienced caregiver could hurt infant without malice, doctor testifies at shaken baby trial
An inexperienced person caring for an infant who suddenly stops breathing could react in fear and shake the baby in an ill-advised attempt to revive her, Dr. Charles Ferguson, director of the Child Protection Centre at the Winnipeg Children's Hospital, testified Thursday in Victoria provincial court.
