Foster Care Reform
It's time for reform in Alaska's foster care system. Just doing the same as last year isn't working. The State of Alaska is custodian to 2,000 foster youth. We're supposed to create hope an opportunity. Instead, 40% of Alaska's foster youth end up homeless at some point in adulthood.
Note: The child protective and foster care system can't be fixed. It needs to be dismantled and rebuilt from the ground up. Right anonymous?

In many cases, that's about right.
Another point on which we agree. Wonders never cease.
I do agree that it should be dismantled...but I don`t agree that it should be rebuilt.
Expert industry insiders said that
almost ten years ago. They also
advised that when rebuilding it
that NONE of the people from the
old regime should be hired because
of the infectious nature of the
corrupt agency culture.
