Relative says child abduction was attempt to save him

Police say a 7-year-old boy was kidnapped, but his relatives say he was taken to protect him.

"We didn't kidnap the kid," said Albaro Rivera, a Dallas-area resident who described himself as the boy's uncle. "We tried to save our nephew."
