Legislator's ethics fine $500
The Legislative Ethics Commission found Rep. Tom Burch guilty on Wednesday of violating state ethics laws and fined him $500.
Burch, D-Louisville, inappropriately contacted four judges about a parental rights case that was before them, the commission ruled. The court case involved a woman who was in danger of losing her children.
