AP Interview: Texas Ranger says raid on polygamists’ compound vindicated by Jeffs verdict
Investigators made no mention of child sex tapes, or seized photos of polygamist leader Warren Jeffs kissing young girls, after their April 2008 raid on the sect’s remote Texas compound. Instead, the public saw the televised spectacle of more than 400 children being bused from the ranch over an abuse hotline call that proved to be bogus.
Note: Vindicated my ass. 1 or 2 kids being abused does not justify the removal of hundreds.

Texas — A massive 2008 raid on a Texas polygamist ranch was triggered by "reckless" investigators who didn't verify calls to a domestic abuse hotline that proved to be a hoax rather than cries for help from a battered teenage mom claiming to be pregnant again, attorneys for a convicted sect member said Wednesday.
