A blind parent’s fear: Will my child be taken away?

You think of starting a family. Pictures of sleeping babies turn into heart-warming scenes of them crawling, cooing, reaching out to you—moments blending into one another, a mother-to-be’s fantasy.

Baby arrives, and you are thrilled. A peaceful joy fills your body as they place your child into your arms. Smiling, you look at their tiny sleeping face, thinking of the years to come.
