U.S. Sen. Grassley: National Foster Care Month
Since 1988, May has been designated as National Foster Care Month. The purpose of National Foster Care Month is to honor the generous contribution and commitment that foster parents make in providing care to over 500,000 children and teenagers in foster care nationwide. I’ve worked in the Senate to strengthen the foster care system, on behalf of the children it serves, with federal grants to train judges, attorneys and legal personnel in child welfare cases, and with federal grants to strengthen and improve collaboration between the courts and child welfare agencies. I’ve also worked to strengthen the Social Services Block Grant Program that helps to fund child welfare services. As Chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, I held the first Senate hearings in a decade on child welfare in order to focus on programs aimed at helping troubled families, caseworker visits for children in foster care, and state and community organizations committed to combating substance abuse.
If you have had your child stolen by cps.you need to gather as many family and friends and stand on ever street corner in the month of may and show people how corrupt cps is.the very people that get paid to protect our childerm are abuseing them with over medicating them and maltreating them with drugsi have been in those hospitals where they drug these kids out of their mind when you go to visit your child they dont know who you are they cant hold a spoon in their hand to eat their food for those that can eat.i have a grandson that was adopted in foster care he is 17teen ever time he dont do as they say do they send him out to boot camp or put him in hospital.he hardly ever eats the meds he is on keep him from wanting food.the people wont even get this child a hair cut.he wears a ragged wind breaker jacket in the coldest part of winter at the bus stop.over medicating these kids is hell on earth for them.just so cps can drive a new car live in a nice house.no child should have to be on these drugs that are killing these kids.cps should be brought up on murder charges for killings these kids.we need to get the word out to people thatare donating their dollars for this bad cause
