Five-year-old accidentally shoots, kills four-year-old sister
Child's play ended tragically on the east side Sunday after a four-year-old girl was shot by her five-year-old brother.

Child Protective Services has custody of the kids pending an investigation.
Even though the shooting was accidental, detectives plan to meet with prosecutors regarding possible charges.

Note: I'm sorry, but this story pisses me off. As if this tragic story doesn't have a horrible enough ending, CPS comes along and pours salt on the wounds by taking the other children away from an already grieving family and throwing them into foster care while they investigate. Was this necessary?

ReplyDeleteSadly this is a pattern with them. There was a woman here in NY who was at the cemetery burying her baby when ACS showed up and took her other children. What they do is a DISGRACE!

That's what happened with this father, he was arrested at the cemetery. Disgraceful!

Horror stories abound no matter what state. The agency has too much power and no other agency to provide checks and balances.
