For what it is worth..I fly to China (Beijing) 4 times a month as a crew member for United Airlines.
I have this childs picture with me.
If I see this child I will alert the authorities.
These feelings that the families go through is the most heartbreaking, because of government controls, they have to sell their children.
I thought that China had progressed alot during the last 15 years that I have been flying there. I guess economically only..they fail miserably in the human rights department. As they always have failed there.
I had often wondered with couples only wanting boys..what they were going to do for wives when they reached the age of maturity. Now I know that what I was thinking years ago has come to fruition. No wives for their sons, because they either aborted the females to prevent in trusion from the goverment or could not afford to raise them, and sold them to the highest bidder, or left them on the steps of an orphanage.
Cultures will change and they need to change. Whether it happens soon enough..only time will answer that.
My heart is weeping for these people. You should be able to witness firsthand how they parent these children. True love.
What I will never understand is how, we, as the adults, allow this to continue.
Bless the children, everywhere!
