Letters: TV-watching by kids not ideal, but hardly abuse
A recent letter-writer compared allowing a 2-year-old child to watch TV all day to child abuse. Television has been part of the curriculum at most public schools for the better part of 40 years. I recall my son's kindergarten class watching a video on vowel sounds. It kept most of the children busy while the teacher completed volumes of paperwork.
