Perhaps you've heard about the little girl in Detroit who was shot during a raid when they busted the wrong door down. Probably, since I've been posting it for 2 days. But I have made an observation.
Here is the latest to come out on this. Watch the video on this post, it's the lawyer for the family. (in the previous post...)
http://legallykidnapped.blogspot.com/2010/05/slain-girls-family-alleges-police-cover.htmlNow lets look at one of the other stories that has played on this in the Detroit news. Spin doctoring, cover-up accusations, lies, etc.
Headline: Cop in Aiyana shooting helped needy kids, sued for earlier raid
From The Detroit News:
http://detnews.com/article/20100518/METRO/5180442/Cop-in-Aiyana-shooting-helped-needy-kids--sued-for-earlier-raid#ixzz0oNpdNQ8YHere they're trying desperately to save face. Make the guy look like a good and caring person and make the incident appear to be accidental and justified to protect the cop.
I will maintain the position that he is a negligent asshole with a happy trigger finger.

Now lets move on to the first article posted here about this incident. And I want to bring something to your attention. This headline was actually changed by the editors some time between the time the article was originally posted and today.
This headline was copied and pasted as it originally appeared on the article. I made no changes to this.
Original Headline: Police accidentally shoot 7-year-old girl in house search
http://legallykidnapped.blogspot.com/2010/05/police-accidentally-shoot-7-year-old.htmlNew Headline: Detroit Police shoot 7-year-old girl in house search
Now, although I prefer the second headline as it seems more accurate, why would they change it? Why would the first have been printed at all?
Ah... the editors of the major news outlets wield a powerful sword, don't they? Yet still they fear the citizen journalist.
