Glendale couple sue fertility clinic, saying their embryo was implanted into wrong woman

The Glendale couple thought that their in vitro fertilization treatment had failed. But Anni and Ashot Manukyan were seized with anguish and horror when they learned that, on the other side of the country, a stranger had been implanted with their embryo then given birth to their baby boy.

On Wednesday, the Manukyans filed a lawsuit against Los Angeles’ CHA Fertility Center alleging negligent infliction of emotional distress and medical malpractice, among other infractions. The couple are seeking punitive and compensatory damages.

Couple says wrong embryos implanted by IVF clinic in "unimaginable mishap"

A recently filed lawsuit claims a New York couple gave birth to other peoples' children, after a fertility clinic impregnated them with the wrong embryos. The couple had been expecting female twins, but instead gave birth to two male babies — who they then had to give up to their biological parents.

The couple alleges CHA Fertility Clinic knew about the embryo mix-up and tried to conceal it. On the clinic's website, it claims to have "fulfilled the dreams of tens of thousands of aspiring parents" in more than 22 countries. This couple says it shattered theirs.

Family Law Week has published an excellent summary of A Local Authority v S & O [2012] EWHC 3764 (Fam). In this case a Nigerian woman living in the UK (Mrs S) went to her GP carrying a baby, O, born according to a birth certificate produced to the GP a month or so before at a maternity clinic in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. The GP was suspicious, having carried out a number of checks in the previous months which had revealed that Mrs S was not pregnant, and although she did not have concerns about the care of the baby, notified the local authority about her concerns about the parentage.

You know the desperate to adopt infertile types? This is a serious question. Could infertility be linked with bi-polar disorder, depression, sadness, feelings of failure or hopelessness, lack of self-worth, low self-esteem, or anything else they can take a pill for?

I do come across quite a few articles and blogs about this infertility issue. A wanna be mom can't have a baby so they look into adoption and blog about their "journey". Quite often they explore foster to adopt programs because they are cheap to free and often come with subsidies so there are benefits behind the bullshit. Don't ever leave that factoid out, it may or may not be much, but it is a factor. They don't care about you anyway. They want what they want and that's the kid. Then they fall in love with your kid as foster parents, and aggressively alienate them against you so that they fear and hate you and wanna stay with them.


It's National Infertility Awareness Month–How Much Do You Know?

This is news to me. All the hype I've seen had to do with National Child Abuse Propaganda Month. That's probably a technical keyword factor. But anyway, now it's National Infertility month coinciding with National Grilled Cheese Month! And next month is National Whatever Month too! All of this is superficial to say the least. But it is why the legalities don't matter nearly as much as the the blind and ignorant support of the general public, who are the ones who cry out against that that poor abused kid who they saw on TV, prompting lawmakers to make laws and the child protective industry to take other peoples kids for frivolous reasons, simply in order to cover their asses.

Notice how this all goes together? Why? Why? Notice the buyers (infertiles) and the suppliers (targeted parents) are all honored or dishonored in their own special way at the same time? Is that a coincidence?

Whatever. I don't control what any of you do. The point of me linking to such is so that you can understand how they think.
