Arizona Republic columnist E.J. Montini wrote recently that we should not be criticizing the overworked, underpaid Child Protective Services caseworkers fighting to protect children throughout Arizona. He reminded us of their commitment and their dedication as they continue working in conditions which many people would find unbearable (“A view of CPS from within the trenches,” Valley & State, Dec. 1).
