The Missouri Legislature took a positive step Tuesday for children in foster care
The Missouri Legislature took a positive step on Tuesday for children in foster care by passing legislation to allow more distant relatives and those with family-like ties to become subsidized guardians of children without permanent homes. Championed by Sen. Lamping (R) – Ladue, SB 47 recognizes that in certain family situations, guardianship or permanent custody might be the best permanency option available when children cannot return home.
