Rohtak shelter home: Inmates’ children‘sold’
Ongoing investigations by the Haryana police in the Rohtak shelter home case has revealed that the accused Jaswanti Devi, the incharge of the shelter home, had allegedly sold two minor boys - sons of two inmates of the same shelter home - to two families. Fatima’s son was sold to a Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh-based family for Rs 60,000. Ramwati’s son was sold to a Delhi-based family for Rs 31,000. Meanwhile, Jaswanti Devi’s sister-in-law Sheela (wife of Satish Kumar - Jaswanti’s cousin, already in police custody), was also arrested for being part of the gang.
