JUVENILE JUSTICE



State lawmakers are on the heals of a heavy discussion about juvenile justice in Nevada. Minors as young as 8 can be tried as an adult for a serious crime and ultimately end up in an adult prison. But Clark County public defenders office wants lawmakers to raise the age to 16. Prosecutors say that decision should be case-by-case based on public safety. News 3's Ashley Conroy is in the newsroom and with more on this. Lawmakers are in the process of drafting new legislation.
