It's difficult to think that a guy like Simmons who is supposed to be responsible for taking good care of these troubled girls, who's supposed to change their lives for the better makes their lives more miserable instead. They might be troubled but lying to the court wouldn't change anything, they'll still be in juvenile detention. The judge should look into this case thoroughly to help those who are really victims of the situation.
