Merrillville police said they have been inundated with phone calls from people eager to adopt a newborn baby girl found abandoned in the frigid cold Friday night.
Note: Because I have been busy over the last couple of days, I am a little behind. So I am not going to take the time to analyze this article for you, but will rather use this as a test to see how well you all have been paying attention.
My question to you, all of my dearly beloved readers, is this...
What's wrong with this picture?

Everything is wrong with this picture!! Before any real effort has been made to verify whose child it is, the state is already looking at adoption. What about those vying to be the adoptive parents? Are they so desperate for a child they care not one iota about the circumstances surrounding this baby? What if the mother was forced to abandon the baby? She could be in the hands of a mad man for all anyone knows. It seems to me the first and foremost question that people should be asking is "Whose baby is this and what led to the mother abandoning her?" not "Can I adopt her?"!!!! How about locating the mother and seeing if she needs help? I do not believe they are truly concerned for her medical condition or they would be offering her help in other areas rather than just claiming to be concerned medically. Those who are vying for adoption should be ashamed of themselves!!!
