Study: Gay Parents More Likely to Have Gay Kids
Walter Schumm knows what he's about to do is unpopular: publish a study arguing that gay parents are more likely to raise gay children than straight parents. But the Kansas State University family studies professor has a detailed analysis that past almost aggressively ideological researchers never had.
I see this but I ask do you really think this is true? Did you chose who you were attracted to? I would seriously think about this. The difference being that children raised in a home with gay parents probably feel that they can be more open then those who come from straight families. This is just my simple thoughts. Not wanting to offend any one.
ReplyDeleteI post what's out there. If there is a study that makes such a claim, then others should have the right to scrutinize it.
ReplyDeletePersonally, I have nothing against gays being parents. What I am against is children being stolen from their parents and placed with whoever the child protective industry considers to be fit, and if gay foster parents are against the families wishes, then such a concern should be respected.
We all have a right to our beliefs.
I too think that a families wishes should be respected. My point was this study seems off. I don't think what CPS does to people is right. I have dealt with them long enough to know they do what ever suits their fancy. My questions were more to get people thinking. I can see CPS using this study to take children away from openly gay parents because they are "AT RISK". I think it is great you post this stuff and the fact that you allow people to say what they think with out allowing nasty posts to be put up.
ReplyDeleteMy question for everyone is has there been studies done on how having CPS involved makes the lives of children unstable. How does the stress of this affect them? I see what it has done to my children and it isn't good. Why were they involved in my life? I have major depression and they think/thought my house wasn't clean enough. My house isn't perfect and I won't be winning any homemaker awards but my children are taken care of, loved and they know it. I have for children age ranging from 18 to 7. Ok that was way off this topic just know that CPS isn't out for the best interest of the children
