Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy or MSBP is a diagnosis given to a mother or care giver to describe aspects of their behaviour. This behaviour usually includes subjecting what appears to be a previously healthy child to unnecessary and often painful tests or medical interventions i.e.: scans, x-rays and even surgical procedures to gain attention from the medical profession.
I know for a fact that it does exist. A foster woman took a healthy child and used him as a guinea pig; MY grandson. It would take a book to write all the facts and list all the doctor visits. Suffice it to say, she is extremely mentally ill.

ReplyDeleteThat's not MBP, it's just a crime. I'll bet CPS and law enforcement never investigated... That's deprivation of justice and due process.
