A former resident of foster care in Cashmere is now charged with raping one child while in his foster home, and was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of a second offense.
Bernardino Dwite Hamilton, 23, has been jailed in the Chelan County Regional Justice Center since June, charged with first-degree child rape and first-degree child molestation. Chelan County sheriff's deputies say he sexually assaulted a 10-year-old girl in fall 2012, while both were being cared for in a Cashmere foster home. Hamilton was 17 at the time of the alleged assaults.
